We believe that baptism is for the person who has received the saving benefits of Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice and has become His disciple. In obedience to the command of Christ and as a testimony of faith, a believer should be immersion baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Immersion water baptism symbolizes a person’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection. It signifies that the former way of life has been put to death and depicts a release from the bondage of sin. At CBC, we teach and practice believer’s baptism by immersion.
RJM – Receiving Jesus Meeting
Unbelievers will have an opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
A baptism class is offered before each baptism celebration time. The class covers the biblical importance of baptism, frequently asked questions, and gives each person the opportunity to share his testimony.
All candidates for baptism must attend one baptism class prior to baptism. Attending a baptism class does not require a person to be baptized if he is not ready. If an individual was baptized as a believer prior to attending CBC, we do not require that individual to be baptized again unless his baptism preceded conversion.
We don’t do infant baptism but we do believer’s children baptism. That being said, children’s believer’s baptism is treated with special care.
If you want to be baptized, please contact the church office (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details.
